Department: Hayden Concentrator Maintenance
Reports To: Concentrator Manager
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
To repair, maintain, install and adjust mobile equipment such as autos, trucks,
tractors, shovels, drag line equipment, cranes, flexlift, forklift, small locomotive
equipment, other mobile equipment and all types of internal combustion engines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work alone or with others in dismantling, repairing and assembling heavy or
light equipment used throughout the plant. Determine repairs or replacement,
obtain materials and tools, perform operations or complete replacement or repair
of broken or defective parts, working from blueprints, sketches, schematic
drawings, manuals or verbal instructions, uses hand or machine tools, Make
shop and field repairs.
Dismantle, repair, assemble and check operations of internal combustion engines.
Service and repair all types of mobile machinery, motors engines, lifting
equipment, locomotive and track mobile equipment and other gasoline and/or
diesel equipment. Installs, maintains and service refrigeration units for mobile
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using wholee
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to
draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram
form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
